I made some new friends from the experience as well. I had been doing a lot of research trying to figure out my itinerary. I found them online and reached out with some questions on WhatsApp. Mohamed Salman got back to me quickly, and from that point on, we started chatting a lot in the weeks leading up to my trip. He was super helpful, always willing to adjust plans, and generally quick to respond - even working late at night for me sometimes. He was helpful outside of his company too by giving me advice about egypt too. By the time I landed in Cairo, it felt like I already had a friend in Egypt, which made me feel great.During the trip, Mohamed was always just a phone call away if I needed anything. He even would check in with me at times. On my trip, I went to three main cities: Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan and Tried to have a jam packed itinerary to see as much as possible. Mohammed was very helpful in this creation and helping it logistically happen. On the ground, i was with another guide for parts of my trip, also named Mohamed, who was great. He showed me around, introduced me to local foods (and bought many things including snacks, foods, and even shisha). He was super flexible and easy going. He clearly loves his country and loves sharing it with others, which made everything feel really personal and fun. He had gone above and beyond the tour inclusions, introducing me to his other local friends, giving me optional trip ideas, helping exchange cash, inviting me out at night even outside of the tour itinerary, and his mom even had prepared a home cooked meal (I unfortunately didn’t end up making it), and more. I like to travel the hostel life, and at times this was basically like having a local friend on the ground showing you around and showing very warm hospitality.The company on the hole was super easy to work with. Even when something went wrong (like a mix-up with a company they’d hired), they were quick to fix it and made sure I didn’t have to stress. They even helped me with an unrelated issue, just because they genuinely cared about making sure I had a great time.I ended up booking with them for my entire trip, even though I wasn’t originally planning to, just because i was impressed with, trusted and enjoyed talking with Mohammed S on WhatsApp beforehand. This company will accommodate you with whatever ideas you may have for your time in Egypt. If you don’t want to think and have a slow pace, they can help there too, or if you want more of a quick paced packed trip with flexibility, they will be there for you too. I went from Cairo all the way down to Abu simbel (almost Sudan) with this company. Don’t be afraid to be creative with your itineraries, they are willing to work with you!Also, it’s worth saying that The guides they assigned for me on the days I had an Egyptologist were great and knowledgeable of the sites.
