Our representative meets you at Cairo International Airport with a name sign and assists with your private transfer to the hotel. Enjoy free time to settle in after your flight. Overnight in Cairo. After breakfast, visit the legendary Giza Plateau — the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Then explore the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world's largest archaeological museum. Lunch included. In the evening, board the Abela overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan. Optional: camel-ride photo stop; Sound & Light Show ($55 pp).

Arrive in Aswan and transfer to your 5-star Nile cruise. Visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, and the mighty Aswan High Dam, a monumental feat of engineering. Lunch and dinner onboard. Overnight on the cruise.

An early 4 AM shared excursion takes you to the colossal Abu Simbel Temples of Ramses II. Return to the cruise and sail towards Kom Ombo to visit its unique temple dedicated to both Sobek and Horus, overlooking the Nile. Continue sailing to Edfu. Overnight onboard.

Visit the magnificent Edfu Temple, one of the best-preserved in Egypt, reached by traditional horse carriage. Sail to Luxor through the famous Esna Lock. In the afternoon, explore the vast Karnak Temple Complex, then the stunning Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated after dark.

Start with an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride over Luxor ($80 pp, weather permitting). After breakfast, check out of the cruise and explore the West Bank — the Valley of the Kings, the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. In the evening, board the overnight semi-sleeper A/C coach from Luxor to Cairo.

Arrive in Cairo and check in to your hotel. Visit Old Cairo — the Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church and the Coptic Quarter — then the medieval Salah El-Din Citadel. Wander the vibrant Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, perfect for souvenir shopping. Overnight in Cairo.
